FOURTH ESTATE IS LOOKING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENTS

Gain experience creating visuals and have your work published online.

Fourth Estate is constantly seeking voices of innovation, diverse thought and government affairs given our location at one of the most diverse institutions close to the heart of Washington, D.C.

Every story needs a picture. Because of this, the need for creativity translates to our visuals as well. This year, we are looking to put together a team of talented photographers and Graphic Design students to create original visuals for our article thumbnails.

While a newspaper has the major focus of getting out coverage on various topics, we believe it is incredibly important that we make space to feature student work and show the individual personalities of each artist. This can be a photograph or an original digital art piece related to an assigned story. We will also accept hand-drawn art as long as the artist can deliver a clear and well-lit photo of the image.

Students of any major or experience are welcome to join and strengthen their skills. Members of the Fourth Estate may choose their availabilities to the team in regards of delivering visuals whether it be on a weekly, monthly, or semesterly basis.

Upon receiving the visual staff members will have their work published online at gmufourthestate.com and receive credit under their full name. Staff members may also gain an additional experience to share to future employers such as creating visuals for a newspaper.

We encourage students interested in creating visuals for Fourth Estate to reach out at eic@gmufourthestate.com. From there, we may provide appropriate training and resources to get started.

We cannot wait to have you on the team!

Sincerely,

Fourth Estate
