Mason’s Student Involvement Office (SIO) invites the community to the biggest event of the school year: Mason Day. Mason’s annual celebration promises a day of excitement, entertainment and community spirit. Scheduled for Friday, April 26, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at lots A & L near the Eagle Bank Arena, Mason Day is a cherished tradition that brings together students from across campus.

Embracing tradition and unity

Mason Day holds a significant place in the university’s culture, serving as its longest-running and largest student-centered event, according to SIO. Each passing year, Mason Day grows in scale and popularity, embodying the unity and camaraderie that define the Mason community.

Associate Director of Campus Events and Promotions at Student Involvement Hope Miller said, “We want to make sure that as many students can be part of this event at least once in their career as a Patriot.” The event aims to foster a sense of belonging and shared experiences among students, creating lasting memories and connections.

A day of fun and community

Mason Day offers something for everyone, from carnival rides to DIY activities like face painting and tie-dye shirt-making. The first 2,500 students will receive free Mason Day T-shirts and tote bags, courtesy of vendors and sponsors. A diverse selection of 12 food trucks will be on site.

For the future

As Mason Day continues to evolve, SIO remains committed to enhancing the event’s impact and reach. The goal each year is to provide students with an unforgettable experience that leaves them feeling proud to be part of the Mason community.

“I hope students will leave feeling great about their school year, that they love being at Mason and being a Patriot…looking forward to the next event and the next school year in the fall,” Miller said.
