Hi Patriots!
My name is Taylor Ramirez and I will be the opinion editor for the Fourth Estate this year! I am from Poolesville, Md. and a senior majoring in Government and International Politics.
This school year has the largest freshman class enrollment in Mason history and the campus is buzzing! With more students than ever before and a busier social calendar than we have seen in the past several years, this school year is shaping up to be a busy one. A diverse group of students offer a diversity of perspectives, experiences, interests, and of course opinions.
As opinion editor, I am committed to facilitating an open dialogue for students to communicate about the issues they care about the most. Whether it’s global politics and the upcoming midterm elections, a new Mason policy or a hot take on a social issue, I want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to share their thoughts.
The Mason community is incredibly diverse and I want our opinion section to reflect that. I want to make sure that those who wish to share their opinions are able to do so, but it’s also extremely important to me that all points of view are expressed equally.
