Virginia Opera: “La Bohème”
This event is taking place in Concert Hall on Mason’s Fairfax campus Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. The opera tells the story of a happy couple whose romance is disrupted by illness and poverty. Though it will be sung in Italian, the performance will be accompanied by superscripts, which are translation above the stage. Mason students can get one free ticket with a student ID. Hoopla
Join the Patriot Activities Council in North Plaza Friday, Nov. 13, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a celebration of Mason spirit. This year’s Hoopla will include food, games, spirit stations, a video game truck, giveaways and more.
Mason Men’s Basketball vs. Colgate
Join your fellow Patriots and head to EagleBank Arena on Friday, Nov. 13, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to show your Mason pride and support the men’s basketball team as it hosts Colgate in the season opener.
Off-Campus
A Night of Korean Culture
Hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Washington, D.C., this event will be held Sunday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m. It will feature traditional food and performances, including a show called COOKIN’, which has appeared on Broadway. The Emporiyum DC 2015
Taking place Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. through Sunday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m., The Emporiyum will feature food and art from around the U.S. Ticket costs range from $15 to $40. Attendees can try free food and beverage samples and enjoy music provided by a DJ. Check out the website for the list of vendors attending this event. The closest Metro stop is NoMa/Gallaudet, located on the Red Line.

Renwick Gallery Opening
The Renwick Gallery is opening Saturday, Nov. 14, with a celebration lasting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is free and will include plenty of attractions, including stilt walkers and musical performances. The closest Metro stop is Farragut West, located on the Orange, Blue and Silver lines. Tree Lighting Ceremony
The annual tree lighting will be taking place at National Harbor on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 12 p.m. There will be lots of holiday activities, from street performers to fireworks. Click the link below to access the event’s Facebook page, which lists all of the festivities taking place that day.
