Women’s Volleyball

The Mason women’s volleyball team dropped their season opener against Howard on Friday night 3-1 on day 1 of the D.C. Volleyball Challenge at American University. The Patriots returned home to the RAC on Saturday for day two of the tournament, but fell short to Georgetown 3-1 and American 3-0 later that afternoon. Mason hit the court again on Sunday in an exhibition game against UMET of Puerto Rico, who defeated the Patriots 3-2. Up next, the Patriots play host to Lehigh and ETSU in the Patriot Invitational on Friday, Sept. 5 at 1 and 7 p.m. at the RAC.

Women’s Soccer

The East Carolina women’s soccer team defeated Mason on Friday 2-0. However, the team bounced back on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over American, with goals from Kaila Williams and Liz Agiato. Up next, the Patriots hit the road to take on Indiana on Friday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. and Ohio State on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Ohio State Tournament.
