Around this time of year, students and family members anxiously wait for the announcement of who will give the commencement speech during the spring graduation ceremonies.
In an email announcement, Mason has finally announced that Jonny Sarhanis, a recent star of VH1’s reality show, Ton of Cash, would give the speech
Sarhanis made waves during his rousing exit speech from the show in September 2011. Since then, he’s been turned into a beacon of encouragement and a symbol of how anyone can make it in this country.

“He’s an inspiration,” said Chad Greager, a graduating senior. “I like to listen to that speech when at the gym or getting hype before an exam.”
