University Life, Mason Police respond to incident in the JC

University Life and University Police are looking into an incident that occurred Saturday evening around 5:00pm in the Johnson Center.

According to Michael Sandler, director of Strategic Communication, a male student fell from the third floor to the first floor in the JC. When police arrived, he appeared to be without any life threatening injuries and University Police and the City of Fairfax Fire and Rescue transported the man to Fairfax Hospital. He is reported to be in stable condition. University Police does not suspect foul play.

Multiple witnesses who saw the student after the incident say he was responsive to other students that provided assistance.

University Life counseling staff was on site and available to talk to and assist student witnesses. Students with any additional information are encouraged to contact University Police.
