Here’s what you’ll need:
½ tablespoon butter
2 cups marshmallows
Food coloring
2 cups Rice Krispies
½ cup white chocolate chips
Nonstick cooking spray
Wax paper
(Serves four)
Ready, Set, Prep:
Step 1
Melt ½ tablespoon of butter by microwaving for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Pour 2 cups of Marshmallows into same and microwave in 30-second intervals until completely melted. There should be no clumps.
Step 3
Add food coloring of choice. (We used one drop of pink food coloring.)
Step 4
Now it’s time for the most important ingredient: Rice Krispies! Add 2 cups of the cereal to the mixture and stir.
Step 5
Transfer Rice Krispies Treat from the bowl to a pan. Make sure the entire surface of the pan is properly coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 6
Flatten batter in the pan using wax paper. Spread all corners out evenly.
Step 7
Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out individual hearts. Place hearts on wax paper.
Step 8: (White Chocolate Drizzle)
Following a similar procedure to the one in step 2, microwave ½ cup of white chocolate chips for 30 seconds and repeat until you’ve reached your consistency of choice.
Step 9
Using a freezer bag or icing dispenser, drizzle white chocolate over the Rice Krispies Treats.
Step 10
Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes and enjoy!
