Hello! 

My name is Rithvik, and I am excited to return to the Fourth Estate editorial team as the Assistant News Editor for the fall 2026 semester. I am a sophomore from New Jersey studying Government and International Politics with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. 

Now in my third semester with the Fourth Estate, I have had the amazing opportunity to cover political rallies, election night at Fairfax City Hall, Mason men’s basketball games and issues that affect the Mason community. 

In a time where journalists and news media have faced lots of scrutiny, bringing readers objective and factual news is more important than ever. The Fourth Estate makes it our mission to always deliver readers objective and factual news. The news section strives to inform readers rather than influence them, from covering political events on both sides of the aisle to ensuring that all of our news articles are objective.

My goal, as the Assistant News Editor, is to assist the News Editor in ensuring that the news is shared in a timely and informative manner.
